Terror Strikes Pakistan Amid Diplomatic Visits: Hybrid Threats and Regional Tensions Exposed

Pakistan is once again confronting a renewed wave of terrorism, as recent suicide attacks in Islamabad and the earlier deadly incident at the district court underscore the country’s persistent and evolving security challenges.

These incidents are not isolated acts of violence; rather, they reflect a broader pattern of hybrid warfare, regional rivalries, and geopolitical maneuvers aimed at destabilizing Pakistan internally and undermining its international standing.

The suicide bombing at the Islamabad district court earlier sent shockwaves through legal and civil society circles, targeting a symbol of justice and state authority. The recent suicide blast in Islamabad carried even greater diplomatic and symbolic weight, as it occurred during the official visit of Uzbekistan’s President alongside other high-level foreign delegations and IMCTC representatives.

While both attacks were suicide operations, their strategic messaging differed: the court attack targeted domestic institutions and the rule of law, whereas the Islamabad blast sent a message to the international community.

Investigations revealed cross-border connections, with Pakistani authorities alleging that hostile intelligence agencies, particularly from India, have supported terrorist networks operating from Afghan territory.

Security reports indicate Pakistan witnessed over a thousand terrorist incidents in the past year, resulting in more than four thousand casualties, including civilians and security personnel.

Pakistan’s leadership has strongly condemned the attacks and reiterated its commitment to counterterrorism, with the President, Prime Minister, Interior Minister, and Field Marshal emphasizing unity and proactive measures.

The Afghan government expressed condolences, yet Pakistan continues to raise concerns about Afghan territory being used as safe havens for militants.

The international community has largely condemned the attacks and expressed solidarity, with countries like the US, China, and Turkey reaffirming counterterrorism cooperation.

Ultimately, the attacks serve as a reminder that Pakistan’s fight against terrorism is far from over, requiring national unity, robust institutions, effective border management, and proactive foreign policy.

A stable, secure, and sovereign Pakistan is vital not only for its citizens but also for peace and stability in South Asia and beyond.

پاکستان میں دہشت گردی کی نئی لہر: داخلی عدم استحکام اور علاقائی سازشیں

پاکستان ایک بار پھر دہشت گردی کی نئی لہر کا سامنا کر رہا ہے، جب کہ اسلام آباد اور ضلع کی عدالت میں حالیہ خودکش حملے ملک کی مستقل اور بدلتی ہوئی سکیورٹی چیلنجز کی عکاسی کرتے ہیں۔

یہ واقعات محض الگ تھلگ حملے نہیں بلکہ ایک وسیع تر ہائبرڈ وارفیئر، علاقائی حریفوں کی سازشیں، اور جیو پولیٹیکل اقدامات کا حصہ ہیں جو پاکستان کو اندرونی طور پر کمزور کرنے اور عالمی سطح پر اس کی ساکھ متاثر کرنے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں۔

اسلام آباد کی ضلع عدالت پر خودکش حملے نے عدلیہ اور شہری معاشرے میں خوف و ہراس پیدا کیا، کیونکہ اس کا ہدف انصاف اور ریاستی اختیار کا نمائندہ ادارہ تھا۔ حال ہی میں اسلام آباد میں خودکش دھماکہ زیادہ اہمیت رکھتا ہے کیونکہ یہ اسی وقت پیش آیا جب ازبکستان کے صدر پاکستان کے دورے پر تھے، اور اعلیٰ سطح کے دیگر غیر ملکی وفود اور IMCTC کے نمائندہ بھی موجود تھے۔

دونوں حملے خودکش نوعیت کے تھے، مگر ان کا پیغام مختلف تھا: عدالت پر حملہ داخلی اداروں اور قانون کی حکمرانی کو نشانہ بنا رہا تھا، جبکہ اسلام آباد دھماکہ عالمی برادری کو پیغام دینے کے لیے کیا گیا۔

تحقیقات سے یہ ظاہر ہوا کہ بعض شدت پسند گروہوں کے پشت پر بیرونی حمایت کار ادارے موجود ہیں، خصوصاً بھارت کی خفیہ ایجنسیوں پر الزام ہے کہ وہ افغان سرزمین سے دہشت گرد نیٹ ورکس کو مالی اور انتظامی مدد فراہم کر رہی ہیں۔

سیکیورٹی رپورٹس کے مطابق گزشتہ سال پاکستان میں ایک ہزار سے زائد دہشت گردانہ واقعات رونما ہوئے، جن میں چار ہزار سے زیادہ افراد ہلاک یا زخمی ہوئے، جن میں شہری اور سکیورٹی اہلکار شامل ہیں۔

پاکستانی قیادت نے حملوں کی سخت مذمت کی اور انسداد دہشت گردی کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا، صدر، وزیر اعظم، وزیر داخلہ، اور فیلڈ مارشل نے اتحاد اور فعال اقدامات پر زور دیا۔

افغان حکومت نے حملوں پر افسوس کا اظہار کیا، تاہم پاکستان اس بات پر تشویش کا اظہار کر رہا ہے کہ افغان سرزمین کو شدت پسند گروہوں کے محفوظ ٹھکانوں کے لیے استعمال کیا جا رہا ہے۔

عالمی برادری نے بھی حملوں کی مذمت کی اور پاکستان کے ساتھ یکجہتی کا اظہار کیا، امریکہ، چین، اور ترکی جیسے ممالک نے انسداد دہشت گردی میں تعاون کے عزم کو دہرایا۔

آخرکار، یہ حملے اس بات کی واضح نشاندہی کرتے ہیں کہ پاکستان کی دہشت گردی کے خلاف جدوجہد ابھی مکمل نہیں ہوئی، جس کے لیے قومی اتحاد، مضبوط ادارے، مؤثر سرحدی انتظام، اور فعال خارجہ پالیسی کی ضرورت ہے۔

ایک مستحکم، محفوظ اور خودمختار پاکستان نہ صرف اپنے شہریوں کے لیے بلکہ جنوبی ایشیا اور عالمی امن و استحکام کے لیے بھی ناگزیر ہے۔
